Four suspects arrested after a wanted vehicle was intercepted using Vumacam’s LRP Network

Using Vumacam’s LPR network, Gauteng Department of e-Government operators and the South African Police Service (SAPS) intercepted a vehicle wanted in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation.

Following an alert, GPG operators coordinated with SAPS, leading to the interception of the vehicle with four occupants inside. The vehicle and its occupants were escorted to Florida Police Station for further investigation.

Further enquiries linked the vehicle and all four suspects to a break-in case in Maraisburg. The vehicle was impounded, and all four suspects were detained.
