Last night, a coordinated multi-agency operation successfully relocated all Malawian nationals from the Sherwood temporary processing site to the Durban Drive-In facility.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of the Office of the COO and Executive Director of Public Safety. It involved Durban Metro Police Service POP, Disaster Management, Fire Department, Metro Police Strike Team, SAPS, and other municipal stakeholders.
The relocation was completed safely and efficiently, ensuring that all individuals were transported to the designated facility where the processing and repatriation programme will continue.
