In Standerton, members of the #SAPS Standerton K9 Unit, supported by Crime Intelligence, arrested two suspects during an intelligence-driven operation at Sakhile on 11 August 2026. Police seized 24 sachets of suspected Nyaope (heroin), weighing approximately 21 grams, valued at about R2,400.
Meanwhile, at Mahamba Border on 08 August 2026, police arrested a 45-year-old suspect after discovering 28 rolls of suspected dagga weighing 18.4 kilograms in a vehicle travelling from Eswatini to Pietermaritzburg.
The suspects are expected to appear before the relevant courts.
