A 60-year-old woman’s home was ransacked during a break-in on Mission Road in Missionlands – KZN yesterday (Saturday, 15/08/2026).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 20:33. On arrival, Reaction Officers found the burglar gate bent and broken. The main door had been forced open and its handle damaged.
Clothing was scattered across the floors, while built-in wardrobes, cupboards and drawers had been opened and searched. The homeowner was not at the residence during the incident and returned to discover the break-in. She was unable to immediately confirm what had been stolen but believed the burglars were searching for gold jewellery.
Neighbours reported seeing a silver Mercedes-Benz occupied by several males parked outside the property.
The vehicle departed before its registration could be obtained.
