Twenty-one illegal immigrants were among the suspects arrested throughout the week during #OperationProsper conducted in the Ekurhuleni District. Other suspects were arrested for possession of drugs, possession of explosives, and possession of counterfeit cigarettes.

During the disruptive operations, the team also seized explosives, counterfeit cigarettes, and several items of illegal mining equipment, namely:

* 104 phendukas
* 21 steel pot crushers
* 11 explosives
* 19 generators
* 6 gas cylinders
* 3 hammers
* 3 stampers
* 5 phenduka stands

These disruptive operations continue relentlessly to dismantle and displace illegal mining activities and address crime in the province.
