A 42-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint outside a medical centre in Verulam CBD – KZN this afternoon (Monday, 25/05/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out after the victim sought assistance at a Doctor’s surgery following the robbery.
The male informed Reaction Officers that he was walking along Wick Street when he was approached by four (4) suspects. One (1) of the perpetrators, who was attired in a brown jacket, allegedly threatened him with a knife while the remaining accomplices searched his pockets for valuables.
One (1) Huawei cellphone was stolen during the robbery before the suspects fled on foot. The pedestrian then fled into the nearby surgery where assistance was requested.
The complainant was not injured during the incident
