The Durban Metro Police Service, through the Drug Team and EITT Unit, successfully conducted an intelligence driven operation on 21 April 2026 in the Phoenix area.
Acting on gathered intelligence, members executed a search warrant at a drug outlet located on Stanmore Drive, Phoenix.
During the operation:
● The main suspect was apprehended on site
● The suspect was arrested for Dealing and Possession of Drugs
Exhibits Seized:
● 14 x bags of cocaine powder
● 26 x Mandrax tablets
● 337 x crack cocaine pieces
Estimated street value: R39,900

This operation forms part of ongoing efforts by DMPS to combat drug-related crime and improve community safety. Intelligence-led operations remain a key focus in targeting illegal drug activities within our communities.
