A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) successfully removed a 2.2-metre Black Mamba from a residence in Mount Moreland – KZN today (Monday).
RUSA Area Manager Nkosinathi Ndaba was dispatched to the call for assistance after the highly venomous reptile was spotted inside the home. Upon arrival, Ndaba carefully searched the premises and located the snake coiled in a corner, concealed behind boards leaning against the wall.
The Black Mamba, known for its olive-grey to dark body, distinctive coffin-shaped head, and potent neurotoxic venom, was identified & safely captured.
