Members of the Eldorado Park SAPS Reaction Unit, working together with the Eldorado Park Gauteng Traffic Wardens Reaction Unit, acted on information received about a group of individuals reportedly standing outside a residence and allegedly heavily armed.
Upon arrival at the identified location, officers spotted suspects matching the provided description. As law enforcement approached, the suspects attempted to flee the scene but were intercepted by the team.
A search was conducted, leading to the recovery of two (2) unlicensed firearms along with live ammunition.
One of the firearms had its serial number filed off.
Two suspects were apprehended and face charges related to the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
