Empire Protection Service, was alerted by Netstar for a Stolen Toyota Fortuner (White/2025) Stolen from the Durban Central area of KZN.
Members of Empire Protection Service were dispatched for the vehicle together with Netstar tracking agents and additional members from the private security industry and SAPS.
The vehicle was giving signals in the Ottawa area of KZN. Upon arrival to the area the vehicle was not visible to ground teams and the assistance of the Netstar helicopter was requested with assistance form the Netstar helicopter and a birds eye view the vehicle was located at the back of a property.
Upon forced entry to the property with members of law enforcement and upon closer inspection the vehicle was confirmed to be found and in the process of being stripped.
Members thereafter managed to enter the house and found two suspects (1x Female/1x Male) hiding inside the cupboards, as members were busy with the two suspects a third suspect walked in and was apprehended (1× Male).
The scene was processed by SAPS. The vehicle together with relevant parts recovered (belonging to numerous other vehicles) and suspects were transported to verulam SAPS for further investigation.
This recovery was made possible through team work with recovery agents from Netstar, South African Police Service and members of Private Security.
