A Church congregation was robbed during a service in Waterloo – KZN, on Friday evening (25/09/2026).
Three (3) suspects, one (1) armed with a firearm, interrupted the service. The suspects ordered the congregation to lie on the floor. Two (2) suspects collected cellphones, bags, laptops and an undisclosed amount of cash before the robbers fled in an unknown direction. It could not be confirmed whether a getaway vehicle was used.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 20:31. Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, several members of the congregation were visibly distressed. RUSA Paramedics assessed them and found no visible injuries.
A search of the surrounding area was conducted, however, the suspects remain at large.
