While monitoring live feeds at the VumaCam Control Centre, operators spotted two male suspects cutting a copper cable with a knife outside the Martindale Building.
#JMPD TRU officers, who were monitoring the area, responded swiftly. They tactically approached the suspects on foot, prompting the suspects to flee. After a brief foot chase, one suspect was apprehended.
The arrested suspect was detained at Sophiatown SAPS & charged with tampering with municipal infrastructure.
