Lebowakgomo #SAPS have opened a case of #StockTheft after 27 head of livestock valued at an estimated R63.600 were stolen from a kraal in Makotse Newstands.
It is alleged that on Friday 03 July 2026 at about 17:30, a 61-year-old livestock owner’s shepherd secured 16 sheep and 11 goats inside the kraal and left the premises.
The following morning on Saturday 04 July 2026 at about 05:45, the owner discovered that the kraal had been forcefully opened and all the animals were missing. He searched the surrounding areas but could not locate them.
The incident was reported to the local police and a case of stock theft was immediately opened.
The investigations have commenced and police are following possible leads to trace the suspects and recover the stolen livestock.
