Two teenagers were successfully apprehended outside a School in the Longcroft area of Phoenix on Friday afternoon following a tip off regarding a possible gang related altercation.
Upon arrival, KZN VIP officers conducted a search and found both teenagers in possession of knives.
It is believed the incident stems from a dispute linked to an alleged kidnapping case from the previous day, which reportedly caused tensions among scholars at the school. The two individuals were allegedly at the premises with the intention of continuing the altercation.
SAPS were contacted and responded to the scene. The two teenagers were removed from the school premises, and the dangerous weapons were confiscated.
Further circumstances surrounding the incident cannot be confirmed at this stage.
