A 65-year-old male suspect, Wilson Rudolf, is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, 15 April 2026 for a bail application following his arrest during a drug-related operation in Schonkenville, Parys.
On Thursday, 09 April 2026, at about 20:25, members acted on information regarding a residence allegedly linked to drug distribution activities. The operation was carried out by the Zamdela Infrastructure Task Team, Parys Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG), Tumahole Crime Prevention, and a member from the Fezile Dabi Trio Task Team.
During the operation, police seized 299 packets of nyaope, 104 packets of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 5 kilograms of unpacked dagga, and two half Mandrax tablets. The estimated street value of the drugs is approximately R10,000.
In addition, several electric tools valued at approximately R12,000 were recovered. These items are suspected to have been stolen and exchanged for drugs.
