Two suspects were arrested on 04 March 2026 at Villa Lisa, Dawn Park after being busted for manufacturing illicit detergents. The team discovered large quantities of chemicals and finished products. It is alleged that the chemicals are mixed in 250-litre barrels and subsequently repackaged into recycled containers bearing labels of well-known brands manufactured by Unilever.
All chemicals and illicit products were seized including a bench grinder machine.
The products and chemicals will be subjected to forensic chemical analysis for further investigations.
