Drug operation dismantled in the Chatsworth area

The Durban Metro Police Service, through a joint multidisciplinary intelligence-driven operation involving the Drug Team, TSU, and Trio Crimes Unit, successfully dismantled a drug operation in the Chatsworth area.

Acting on information received regarding a suspected drug den operating along Powerline Road, members responded swiftly following community concerns about escalating crime in the area.The coordinated operation led to the successful apprehension of an individual found in possession of a significant quantity of illicit substances.

Drugs seized include:

• Crack cocaine
• Mandrax tablets
• Crystal meth
• Heroin capsules
• Schedule medication (Xanax)

Additional items recovered included drug paraphernalia and cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
