The Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT in collaboration with Cartrack and Go Squad Security, successfully recovered a Toyota Hilux which was hijacked in Lanseria.
The vehicle was traced and found in an open field in Tshepisong, Soweto, where it was abandoned with keys.
Further searches led to a second suspicious vehicle believed to be a getaway car, identified nearby, with items linked to the hijacked Toyota Hilux.
The driver of the second vehicle was later located and is currently receiving medical treatment. Both vehicles were seized and transported to Lenasia VSS for safekeeping and further investigation.
