The Durban Metro Police Service SOD1 Bylaw Compliance Unit continues to intensify operations within the Durban CBD to address criminality and ensure compliance with immigration and municipal laws.
During a targeted enforcement operation conducted in the inner city, illegal immigrant suspects were apprehended after failing to produce valid documentation authorising them to be in the Republic of South Africa.
The suspects were processed and detained at Durban Central SAPS, where further investigations and verification processes are currently underway in conjunction with the Department of Home Affairs.
