A house fire was reported in Amaoti, KwaZulu-Natal, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 23:08. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found that the Firefighters from the Ethekwini Fire Department were already on scene and in the process containing the fire.
The blaze caused extensive damage, with the entire interior of the house destroyed. No injuries were reported.
It was established that the property was occupied by five (5) groups of tenants. The homeowner was not present at the time of the incident. Tenants managed to remove their belongings from the house before the fire was fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
