Yesterday morning, Mi7 Control Room Operators received a distress call from an Armed Response business client in the Edendale area. The client reported that a staff member was robbed of her cellphone. Mi7 Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched.
They got a thorough description of the suspect, including information on the direction he had fled. Strategic patrols were then carried out in search of the suspect. Eventually, a man matching the description was spotted. He was chased down and apprehended.
The stolen cellphone was found in his possession, and the victim positively identified him too. The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
