Following a shooting incident on Sunday evening, 07 December 2025, in North-end Street, Cloetesville, in which two children aged four and seven, and an adult male were shot and wounded, the Station Commander of Cloetesville SAPS instructed police members to work around the clock to bring the perpetrators to book.
The members used informer networks to source information and obtained witness statements in a bid to arrest the suspects.
The members followed up information they gathered on the whereabouts of the suspects and their determination to bring the suspects to book were rewarded, when they arrested them within two hours after the shooting incident occurred. The two suspects aged 27 and 31, face charges of attempted murder.
They will appear in the Stellenbosch Magistrates’ court once they have been charged.
