A grade eight thirteen (13) year old girl who fled her Crossmoor, Chatsworth – KZN home with an adult male has been located by Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
The child who is believed to be pregnant, fled her home with a twenty five (25) year old man who was taken in by the girl’s family after a domestic dispute with his relatives who resided next door. The family of the missing girl sought assistance from Reaction Officers, after they woke up to find the child missing on December 02, 2025.
Reaction Officers followed up in tip-offs from the general public and established that the couple was travelling between Phoenix & Chatsworth – KZN and briefly located to an informal settlement in Welbedact – KZN. The female had communicated with several people informing them that she was pregnant.
This morning (Tuesday 08:36) Reaction Officers once again received a lead regarding the child’s location & her intention to visit a local clinic to confirm her pregnancy. Officers monitored several locations simultaneously & eventually located the female in an Uber travelling in Phoenix – KZN.
The vehicle was stopped and the child was identified. Another female, identified as the sister of the 25 year old male was also in the vehicle. A female Reaction Officer comforted the girl (picture 1) & transported her to the RUSA Headquarters to be reunited with her family & to meet with the Police Officer investigating the case.
The adult male has been identified as a father of an eighteen (18) month old baby & is currently on the run.
