POLOKWANE – Police in Matlala under the Capricorn District have launched a manhunt following a business robbery that occurred at the Telkom Tower in Chloe, Ga-Matlala, on Friday, 10 October 2025, at around 19:00.
According to reports, a security officer was on duty at the site when an unknown man wearing a balaclava suddenly entered the container where he was stationed and pointed him with a firearm. Moments later, two more suspects joined in.
The suspects allegedly overpowered the victim and forced open another container where the batteries were kept. The trio fled the scene with six batteries and the victim’s cellphone, disappearing into the dark.
No arrests have been made, and police investigations are continuing.
