Users who have installed TomTom HOME, can download for free at their favorite drivers voices at www.tomtom.com/racevoices.

The voices include two-time and reigning IZOD IndyCar Series Champion and 2007 Indianapolis 500 Winner Dario Franchitti, two-time IZOD IndyCar Series Champion and 2008 Indianapolis 500 Winner Scott Dixon, and 2000 Indianapolis 500 Winner and current NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya. Now, three of the best professional race car drivers can be your co-pilot.

TomTom portable navigation devices guide drivers with audible, turn-by-turn instructions and 3D maps that work right out of the box. On the road, the race car drivers will help safely and efficiently guide TomTom users to their destinations. Each driver gives funny and witty instructions, putting the fun back into the daily commute.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with the Target Chip Ganassi Racing team into the 2010 race season,” said Tom Murray, senior vice president of market development. “TomTom users can now start their engines with Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon or Juan Pablo Montoya, to make even the shortest drive a fun and exciting experience.”

In addition to the driver’s voices, car icons and start-up images of the Ganassi stockcar and Indy cars are available exclusively at www.tomtom.com/racevoices.

“I use my TomTom all the time,” said Montoya, who has a version of his voice available in both Spanish and English. “As soon as I found out they were coming back to the Target program I asked when I would receive mine. We’re in different places every weekend and I’m always on the go – in search of new restaurants and sights to see so my TomTom definitely guides me. I don’t leave home without my TomTom.”

“Winning at Iowa in a TomTom car last season was a great way to start the TomTom Chip Ganassi partnership,” said Franchitti. “I’m lost without my TomTom, and use it daily whether I’m in the US or back home in Scotland. It’s impressive to see a company like TomTom leveraging their relationship with the race team and doing some real activation by getting all three Target drivers’ voices online for race fans. I hope a lot of people will get a kick out of this.”

“I have always been into technology and I always have to have the latest in satellite navigation and other electronic devices” said Dixon. “TomTom is a big supporter of the race program and I can tell you my TomTom is always with me when I travel. Adding the Target drivers to the lineup of downloadable voices gives race fans another fun way to enjoy the sport.”
