Members of the Botshabelo Crime Prevention Unit have successfully arrested a 32-year-old suspect and seized a significant quantity of dagga during an intelligence-driven operation in Section G, Botshabelo.
The arrest occurred on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, at approximately 20:30, after police followed information leading to the residence of a foreign national from Eswatini. During the operation, 61.95 kilograms of dagga, with an estimated street value of R100 000-00 was confiscated.
The suspect faces charges of possession and dealing in dagga and contravention of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002. Investigation into the matter continues.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Botshabelo Magistrate’s Court soon. #OperationShanela
