On 15 September 2026, members of the Durban Metro Police Service Economic Infrastructure Task Team and Tactical Support Unit received information about a vehicle allegedly transporting suspected drugs in the Phoenix area.
The vehicle was stopped and searched. An African male suspect was found in possession of the following:
– 400 pieces of suspected rock cocaine
– 400 capsules of suspected heroin
The suspect was arrested and detained at Phoenix SAPS.
