On Sunday, 22 March 2026, at approximately 15:00, the Kroonstad Infrastructure Team received information regarding two sheep carcasses allegedly hidden at a residence in the area.
Upon arrival at the identified premises, members discovered two sheep carcasses that had been cut in half and stored in a refrigerator. The suspect was questioned about the origin of the carcasses but failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. The woman was arrested, and the two sheep carcasses were confiscated.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Kroonstad Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of possession of suspected stolen livestock.
