EThekwini Municipality collaborated various departments to flock on to the eyesore Che Guevara Road to remove vagrants and clean the area.

The makeshift plastic shack that encroached to one of the lanes, obstructing traffic flow, were removed this morning.

Durban Metro Police Services, Waste Management Directorate, Security Management and other Municipal Departments conducted a multi-disciplinary clean-up programme to restore cleanliness, public safety and deal with illegal dumping.

Police have committed to monitoring the precinct to curb crime, drug and traffic violations.
