Two (2) burglary suspects were apprehended, stolen property recovered, and housebreaking implements seized by Reaction Officers in Oakford, KwaZulu-Natal today (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a school premises following reports of a Burglary In Progress. Upon arrival, Reaction Officers observed two (2) adult males fleeing the premises carrying a white sack.
Officers successfully apprehended both suspects a short distance from the scene. A search revealed that the suspects were in possession of housebreaking implements (picture 3) and property believed to have been stolen.
An employee from the school informed Reaction Officers that the premises had been repeatedly targeted on a daily basis. Several buildings on the property have been completely stripped, allegedly by drug addicts.
Both suspects were restrained and handed over to SAPS Verulam in KZN for further investigation.
