MPUMALANGA – The Acting Provincial Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) in Mpumalanga, Brigadier Danie Hall has confirmed that there was a break-in at the Hawks Enhlanzeni District Offices in Nelspruit on Wednesday night, 07 January 2026.
The suspect/s gained access by forcing open a window. A few loose items were stolen, including a computer screen and a projector.
Brigadier Hall wishes to assure the public that neither case dockets nor computers were stolen. He further assured that no sensitive information was compromised.
Brigadier Hall would like to request the community, pawnshops, and recycling centres not to buy these items. “If anyone offered these items for sale, please contact your nearest police station or call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111” appalled the Brigadier.
