The members of Stock Theft Unit are investigating a case of stock theft after unknown number of suspects stole fifty (50) goats at The Oaks , in Hoedspruit policing area, under Mopani District.
7According to information, the complainant locked his goats before he went to sleep. In the early hours of the following day, on Wednesday 30 July 2025, at around 00:30, he heard a sound of a moving vehicle in his yard. Apparently he quickly went outside to check, only to find that his livestock, fifty (50) goats were missing, and there was no person or a vehicle outside.
The incident was reported at Hoedspruit Police Station, and a case of stock theft was opened and transferred to Maake Stocktheft Unit for further investigation.
The estimated value of the stolen livestock is R75 000-00.
