SAPS Kabega Park detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in tracing a 49-year-old man, John Rautenbach who went missing on Sunday 1 June 2025 in Rowallan Park.
It is alleged that on the abovementioned date, John who is a resident at a facility for Intellectually Challenged Adults, was visiting a friend in Pollock Street, Rowallan Park for the weekend. According to the friend on Monday 2 June 2025 at approximately 01:00 his beams around the house triggered, but they thought it might be an animal and ignored the alarm. A few minutes later the friend checked the house and noticed John is not in the room and he never returned home. Enquiries were made with family and the facility where he resides, but he could not be traced. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a blue jean with black hoodie and sneakers.
