The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers and Community Liaison Unit (CLU) officers, confiscated illegal substances worth over R13 000, in the City of Ekurhuleni.
With an ongoing operation to clean the streets of the City from illegal substances, Officers arrested nine (9) male suspects between the ages of twenty-five (25) and forty-seven (47), who were found in possession of various illegal substances, such as crystal meth, Mandrax and dagga. The substances were estimated at a total value of R13 580.
The suspects were arrested and detained at their respective police stations and facing charges of dealing and possession of illegal substances. They are expected to appear before the relevant Magistrate’s Courts soon.
