The Kuruman Public Order Policing, arrested a 36-year-old foreign national for dealing in drugs in Kuruman on Wednesday, 03 September 2025.
The members were executing a self-initiated operation in the Kuruman area following reports of drug dealing at a premises.
The team obtained the necessary search warrants and approached the premises. They recovered mandrax tablets and khat with an estimated street value of R20 550-00 as well as cash that is believed to be the proceeds of crime.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged for illegal dealing in drugs and is expected to appear in the Kuruman Magistrate’s Court soon.
The Acting District Commissioner of the John Taole Gaetsewe district, Brigadier Kenneth Baloyi, commended the Kuruman POP Charlie platoon members for being vigilant and ensuring that drug dealers are brought to justice.
