Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from a resident reporting the sighting of the highly venomous snake within their premises. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched to the location and on arrival found that the snake had been killed.
The homeowner informed Officers that she had observed the highly venomous snake inside her residence. With the assistance of community members, household items were carefully removed to facilitate the search.
During this process, a community member discovered the Black Mamba concealed beneath the base of a bed.
As the bed base was being relocated outdoors, the snake managed to escape through a narrow opening.
Community members then pursued and killed the snake.
