GAC Motor, in partnership with NutriTech, proudly co-sponsored a high-impact charity touch rugby event in Cape Town to raise funds for an exceptional cause, supporting 8-year-old Atarah Goodheart’s journey into the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Programme and her boarding at Generation Schools Imhoff.
The event brought together South African sporting royalty for a day of unity, upliftment, and inspiration, hosted by Generation Schools and supported by Kensio House Therapeutic Academy. Rugby legends and notable names including Paul Delport, Rudy Paige, Morgan Newman, Siv Ngesi, Juan Leon de Jongh, Ricardo Duarttee, Jevron Epstein and Carlos Spencer graced the field for a spirited celebrity exhibition touch rugby match that drew crowds and highlighted the power of sport to transform lives.
The day’s purpose went far beyond entertainment, it was designed to raise funds for Atarah, a rising football talent from Ocean View, Cape Town. At just eight years old, Atarah has already distinguished herself on the pitch as the only girl in her club’s U8 A-team, while excelling academically. The sponsorship allows her to join the prestigious Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Programme and attend Generation Schools Imhoff, where she will have access to high-quality education and elite sports training.
“Sport has the unique power to change lives, and this event was proof of that,” said Bianca Naude, representing GAC Motor. “Being able to support the Atarah’s journey through such a memorable and meaningful event is something we are extremely proud of.”
Jevron Epstein, President of the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Programme in South Africa, added: “This initiative shows what’s possible when brands, communities, and sports icons unite for a greater good. Atarah’s story is just the beginning.”
As the official importer and distributor of GAC Motor in South Africa, Salvador Caetano South Africa is proud to stand behind initiatives that reflect not only the strength of our brand but also the integrity and purpose that define our business.
An event like this embodies everything we believe in meaningful partnerships, community upliftment, and creating lasting impact through action. It is a testament to the values that drive us forward as a responsible, purpose-led organisation.
The collaboration between GAC Motor, NutriTech, Kensio House, and Generation Schools represents a growing commitment to youth empowerment and gender equity in sport. The funds raised at the event, combined with generous contributions from Kensio House, made it possible to fully sponsor Atarah’s education and boarding ensuring she has the platform to achieve her dreams.
