The South African Police Service together with the Gauteng Traffic Wardens recovered two unlicensed firearms while conducting patrol duties. Community members directed the officials to where gunshots had been fired on Silver street.
Officials proceeded to the scene where the suspects attempted to flee. Upon searching the suspects, two unlicensed firearms and ammunition were found in their possession while one of the suspects is well known for such crimes will appear in court soon.
