On Wednesday 14 May 2025 at 08:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) First Response Unit Officers, recovered a motorcycle in the Benoni area.
While patrolling on Stanley Road, Officers spotted a red Suzuki motorcycle without a rear registration plate. Officers tried to stop the driver but drove off and a chase ensued.
The driver jumped off whilst driving the motorcycle and he fled the scene. Officers proceeded to conduct an enquiry on the motorcycle and it was postive for reported stolen.
The motorcycle was impounded and taken to the police yard for safe keeping. No arrests were made.
